Winter White Wreath

I love the look of this wreath!  It's simple and elegant, it catches the light and it sparkles.  It is very simple to make too!

My Winter White Wreath

Placed over a darker background, it really pops.
My doors are white, but I still love the look of this surprisingly beautiful wreath hung on them.

It also looks nice when hung on a large mirror.

This wreath is very easy to make, costs almost nothing, and I really do think it's surprisingly beautiful.

Even if you are not the crafty type or don't think you can craft, you can do this project.

If you haven't guessed yet and you're asking "what is it made of?"

It's made with...

Surprised?
Just a wire coat hanger and a box of sandwich baggies.
That's it!
It truly is so simple to make.

Prepare a coat hanger [I used a white one] by bending it to form a circle.

Gather the sandwich baggie from top to bottom, or -a little more technical in terms- scrunch it or squish it together.  I hope the photo is more helpful than my sense of humor.

If you let it go, it will probably look like this.

Slip one end under the wire, center the baggie and then take both ends and tie into a knot, gently but firmly tighten the knot.

It should look like this now.  Continue adding more in the same manner.

This is after adding five.  Wow feels like a long way to go, but it doesn't take that long to fill it up.

Push all of the knots up tightly together, then spread each end open and it should look fuller.
If you have ever made tissue flowers, this is very similar.

The more you add, the fuller the wreath will look.  It starts to look frosty and white.  I made mine while watching TV and it went pretty fast.

When finished, you can add decorations to it, and a pretty bow perhaps.
And, it will hold up well outside too.

Here are a few photos of the wreath on display in my home.

Beautifully surprising!...
