I'll forever be missing my Sister! I'm thinking of her especially today and although at times I am feeling sad as I remember her, I also smile and laugh because there are the many memories of her and good times we shared. She had a way of sharing in whatever you were feeling and would bring you up if you were down, happy when you were sad, and turn your tears to laughter. She could also bring you to tears with her witty way, humorous phrases and her infectious laugh.
I love this photo of Sherry, it is one of my favorites. I used it to create this in memory of her, and have it in a double frame along with her favorite poem: Footprints - So I can see her every day. I love her beautiful smile and how happy and healthy she looks, and how it captured her happy spirit too.
It makes me smile every time I look at her, and it's how I want to remember her and her beautiful smile, her happy spirit, and her laughter too!
...her smile brings a big smile to my face and an even bigger smile to my heart!I'll forever be missing you Sherry!...I love you Sis!...You are forever in my heart!
FOOTPRINTS
One night I had a dream. I was walking
along the beach with the Lord, and
across the skies flashed scenes from my
life. In each scene I noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand. One was mine,
and one was the Lord's.
When the last scene of my life
appeared before me, I looked back at the
footprints in the sand, and to my
surprise, I noticed that many times along
the path of my life there was only one
set of footprints. And I noticed that it
was at the lowest and saddest times in my life.
I asked the Lord about it, "Lord, you
said that once I decided to follow you,
you would walk with me all the way.
But I noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life there is
only one set of footprints. I don't
understand why you left my side when I
needed you most."
The Lord replied, "My precious child,
I love you and would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
where you see only one set of footprints,
I was carrying you."
