At this point most folks are either rushing among the hustle and bustle, or sitting back and feeling relaxed after having completed all their lists ...and checking them twice! I'm somewhere in between at the moment. For now I can relax since we will be delaying our 'family' Christmas celebration until next week, when we can all be here together. It's what we do to be able to share the holiday, with all of us together. The anticipation builds as I look forward to having my family close to me and being able to share precious moments and making memories with them. In the mean time, I'll be anxiously waiting as I prepare.
I've already decked the halls to say the least, the stockings are hung and so are the lights. I've hung a shining star upon the highest bough, while all is calm and all is bright!

One of my favorite places to decorate for Christmas is the Foyer and entry. I enjoy making it extra special, since it's the first room you see.
We're ready for Christmas and so is the Tree!
The Fireplace and Mantel are an important focal point to a room, and I enjoy creating many different looks for mine.
The Mantel is ready now, don't you know?!
With glitter and gold, and all aglow.
I like to dress-up my kitchen as well, it's fun to achieve a new look with festive items.
Yes, even the Kitchen, it too is now ready!
With cheerful holiday reminders, tasty treats and goodies.
The space above the kitchen cabinets is a blank canvas that can be re-decorated also.
Up above there's more embellished with Christmas cheer.
More cheerful reminders, I've placed up there.
Sometimes it's fun to add a little whimsy when decorating, it doesn't always have to be serious.
As you looked up there ...Did you see?
Yes, that's us with our pup, the Hubby and Me!
And if it makes you happy or causes a smile, I say do it!
Now we're all ready in our Santa hats too!And these sure do make me smile. How about you?
A simple tinsel garland can dress up windows and doors. And who says a wreath can only be hung from a window or door?
Yes, even this room is now ready too!
More glitter and gold, I like that, I do!
I often have more than one tree, in fact I usually have several spread throughout a few rooms.
I think these plates are as cute as can be,
and so is my sweet little Christmas tree.
The holidays are a special time to share delicious meals together around a decorated table.
I am also on-the-ready in the Dining room!
The table is all set for a special dinner we'll be sharing real soon.
The candles are ready and placed all in a row!
They will light up the room with a beautiful glow.
I'm ready when the time comes, and I'll be seated right here.
With my loved ones around the table, sharing good cheer!

I look forward to sharing a delicious meal with my family and creating special memories with them as we enjoy the many blessings of Christmas, and also celebrate a New Year that we are wishing is both prosperous and filled with much happiness.
Are you ready?
Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!...
