Christmas 2016 Decor
~Christmas Tablescape - Our Breakfast Room~

I love to set a pretty table! It's nice to make it extra special for the holidays, too.  I like to change the look and use different items that I have on hand that I've collected over the years, before running out to buy more things.

And, often I find that not worrying about everything being so perfect makes for a much more relaxed and happy attitude about decorating!  Also, I try to practice what I preach about low cost decorating! I only recently purchased the star plate-used as a center tray, and the placemats.  Total cost of thirteen dollars!

That pretty gold star was perfect for Christmas and perfectly my style!  It was a must have once I saw it!

I began thinking of the sweet little ruffled plates I had at home when I spotted the golden place mats.  I had a feeling both of these items would work well together.  My simple everyday white plates would be the middle layer for the two gold items.

Gold painted pine cone ornaments placed on each plate were an extra touch that added to the holiday theme.  And, I had some gold sparkly balls that I used in glass jars last year, so I scattered a few around the table for a little more sparkle.  I'll be adding golden flatware later to each place setting.

These sweet little candle holders have been part of many a year of Christmas decorating in our home.  I change the look of them by adding different candles and candle holders to them.

My Christmas table in our breakfast room is ready for the holiday!  I hope I have given some good ideas and inspiration for your holiday table setting.

Happy Decorating!...
