Me Señorita and my Señor
Olé
Having a little fun and a few laughs with playing Señorita and Señor with this posing board at one of our local favorite Mexican restaurants!
A true "Kodak moment" that I just couldn't pass up!
After sharing the photo of us above with family, I received this photo of my Pops in Indy at another Mexican restaurant.
Too funny huh? I guess you could say I get it honest.
I'm so glad I got his sense of humor!

A Visit With Family
We had a little visit with Hubby's parents here when they stopped in as they traveled back to FL after a trip to Indy. We enjoyed seeing them and having them here with us. I have to say these two impress me with their zest for life and their busy life style. I can only hope to be as healthy, active, and looking as great as them at their age. It was good to spend the evening at home with them and also our youngest Daughter was here too with her pup Dallas. We had gotten a delicious Boston Pork Butt to serve for dinner, so we made BBQ sandwiches along with mac & cheese, baked beans and potato chips. Yum! It really was a very good and delicious idea! We were all entertained by watching the pups Aeon and Dallas do their tumble fun for most of the evening until our Daughter and her pup had to head home, and it was bedtime for the rest of us. We said our good-byes in the morning along with having a little coffee and they then got on the road to drive home to Florida.
A few photos from their visit.

A Spring Break Visit
It's the Spring Break time of year and for our Granddaughter, hers was spent at our house last week. She stayed here after everyone came for Easter. She was happy about staying with us, which she mentioned a few times by saying to me, with much excitement, "I'm staying for five days!" She enjoyed having her time alone with us. She's very entertaining and is quite the character, and it was fun to have her here with us. It was so nice to have Spring weather finally, and to be able to go outside and enjoy some warmth and sunshine. She and our pup Aeon were fun company for one another, and enjoyed playing outside together. They were great buddies! We did some dog-sitting of Dallas-pup for her Aunt on Monday, and she had a great time taking care of, and playing with him too. A few outings with going out for dinner and lunch, shopping and to get extra special sweet treats too. She was happy that her mom and little Sis came here on Thursday. Her little Sis would be having a sleep over night with her here, while mommy went to visit their Aunt. They were two giggle filled, happy little sisters that were glad to be together again after their time apart, and we enjoyed having both of them here staying with us.
Enjoying Spring Break and sunshine.
Her and Aeon, little buddies enjoying the sunshine.
Cookie time treats.
Her and Dallas-pup are buddies too.
"Winning at Tic-Tac-Toe with Grandpa is fun!"
Five Spot is a great place to get special treats!
Story time with her Kindle.
"I hear you taking pictures of me grandma!"
Having lunch with Grandma before going shopping.
They really are great buddies for each other.
Coloring in their new coloring books. "Thank you Grandma!"
I like her drawing of us!
Happy sisters reunited and looking forward to having a fun sleep-over together.
Aeon likes having two little buddies!

Easter Family Fun!
I sure enjoyed having the family here for Easter! Our Daughters, Son-in-law, a family friend, and also the Granddaughters. After having a puppy emergency, our original plans to travel to Greenville were changed, and we are so grateful that our Daughter & Son-in-law brought everything here to make a delicious Easter feast! Burgers, Baked Beans, Macaroni Salad, Chips & Salsa, Sweet treats too! The grands enjoyed their Easter baskets and goodies within. Some fun spent outdoors and blowing bubbles was enjoyed until they were gone, then I or as my oldest Granddaughter said "Grandma performed magic and made some more bubbles!" All three pups, Aeon, Dallas and Windsor pups had a great time playing together all day, and running through the back yard and entertaining all of us! Our Son-in-law took photos of much of the fun and all of the characters!
Sweets for my sweet girls!
Easter Baskets made for the Grands.
I included more fun toy items, not just candy. They loved them! Those "Hello Kitty" Bunnies are adorable. I also found "Hello Kitty" PEZ and they had bunny ears too.

My Stick Family
I thought this was cute and funny, and decided to add it to my Blog.
I often see some other stick families that are similar and made to cling to vehicle windows.
You can make one too if you like and add to a webpage or blog, it was easy to do.
If you want one just visit the link below.

A Visit from Mom & Dad
So true that is! Sometimes the simplest thing can make a day even better. It makes for a real good day when you get to have something that you often don't get to have too. Well, I had just that with getting to have Mom & Dad here for a little visit. They were able to get away from their normal surroundings in Indy to visit Florida to meet their first great-great granddaughter this week. They came through here on their return home. It was so good to see them and to have them here with us. They both look real good, and it's hard to believe they are great-great grandparents now!
I had a nice dinner out with them, my Daughter, and also Hubby met us there since he was just in from a flight from California for business. We had some delicious steaks and such at the local Texas Roadhouse, along with conversation and a few good laughs. A little more visiting time back at the homestead, along with being entertained by two very energetic pups, Aeon and Dallas playing in full on happy puppy mode! Those two are non-stop tumblings of fur! Our Daughter and Dallas-pup had to leave to get home, and it was then get-to-bed time shortly after that for the rest of us.
Mom and Dad planned to leave in the morning since the weather forecast wasn't good for over the next couple of days and they had at least a days drive, maybe two. A little morning coffee time for Mom, Dad and I and it was then time for them to get on the road for their drive home. The time came and went by too fast, but it was so good to have them here for a visit!

We are very excited and happy to add this handsome Golden Retriever to our family!
Tale of Aeon
“Aeon” (pronounced [ee-uh
n, ee-on] or like the more common male name “Ian”)
Was chosen by us as the name after much thought and research.
While searching for male dog names, and names for golden retrievers, I came across documentation titled "Ten Years Research into Golden Retriever Ancestry."

~ Syrah Golden Prince Aeon ~
Was chosen by us as the name after much thought and research.
While searching for male dog names, and names for golden retrievers, I came across documentation titled "Ten Years Research into Golden Retriever Ancestry."
An excerpt from the article reads:
-“In Lord Tweedmouth’s stud book, three dogs are entered as Tweed Water Spaniels, and one of these, Belle, a bitch-(female) given by Mr David Robertson MP, and entered in 1867 as“Ladykirk breed” (i.e. bred at Ladykirk on the Tweed) was mated to Nous in 1868, the resulting litter of four yellow puppies being the root foundation of Goldens as a distinct breed.”-
Nous, meaning: mind or intellect, common sense; intelligence (pronounced [noos, nous] or like goose or house, but an N for the first letter.)
A short consideration of the name Nous, but a joint confirmation of that choice wasn't decided between us. Upon further searching into the meaning of Nous, it was learned that Nous was also the first male Aeon.
An excerpt from another article found reads:
-“In many Gnostic systems, the source of all being is an Aeon in which an inner being dwells, known as Ennoea ("thought, intent"), Charis ("grace"), or Sige ("silence"). The split perfect being conceives the second Aeon, “Nous” ("mind"), within itself. Along with the male Nous comes the female Aeon Aletheia ("truth"). These are the primary roots of the Aeons."-

I would like to mention and give special thanks to our Breeder Hollie Autry of Syrah Goldens. We are very pleased to have met her, and worked with her on obtaining our puppy. It has been a pleasure throughout the whole experience, she is a blessing to us, and to all who love dogs and those who are wanting a special dog of their own.

Family Christmas/New Year
The house is quiet today...
We had a great Family Christmas/New Year celebration with the kids and grand-kids over the past few days. The house is very quiet today and I miss the extra warmth of having them all here, also the pitter-patter of little feet and hearing those sweet little voices and giggles, and lots of hugs and kisses. We enjoyed having them all here with us and sharing in lots of food and good cheer, our gifts exchange, fun, laughter and maybe a few tears too, some football and having a good time together.
Oh and I must say that I'm also pleased to add that my "Santa baby" said I had been a real good girl, and he brought me a new laptop for Christmas, and I am happily using it right now for writing this! :) We did get a few photos and I'll add more as I get them. Enjoy!

All smiles and ready for our Family Christmas celebration, and the little girls are ready to open those Christmas gifts!
New Year's Eve
Ready for our dinner on New Year's Eve. We do an Italian style meal for the holiday, a tradition started long ago since we would be turkey-ed out after Thanksgiving. Roasted Pork Tenderloins, Pasta, Sauteed Asparagus, Stuffed Portabello Mushrooms, Salad, Baked Bread and of course a nice Red Wine.
New Year's Day
Enjoying some football and hot wings on New Year's Day before everyone goes home.
