Chicken Fajita Bowl

 

This is a healthy and delicious favorite!  And, the answer to “What’s for dinner?!”

Chicken Fajita Bowl.  

Sautéed chicken, peppers & onions, brown rice, black beans, avocado, jalapeño, and cheese. Easy and delicious, filling and nutritious!  This is very customizable and can be made by simply using the amount of each ingredient per your liking and omitting those that you don't. 

Taco Tuesday could be Fajita Bowl Tuesday instead?!

~ Chicken Fajita Bowl ~

::: Sauté diced chicken breast in 1 Tbsp olive oil, add sliced peppers and onions, sprinkle on fajita seasoning and cook until chicken is done and peppers/onions are crisp tender.

In a medium sized bowl layer in 1/2 cup cooked brown rice, chicken, peppers and onions, black beans and additional fresh ingredients-avocado, jalapeño, shredded cheese.

Optional: Top with sour cream and salsa. {Less carb alternative-omit rice and sub mixed greens.}

I don't really decorate the whole house for St. Patrick's Day, but I did a simple "St. Patrick's Day" themed Tiered Tray in honor of the holiday!

Wall Shelf with Corbels~Office/Spare Room Makeover

I’m loving this shelf we recently installed! And, by “we” I mean hubby.

Well, he did the install...but it was all my idea! Those corbels had me at...H E L L O there gorgeous!

I’ve been giving this spare room/office a little makeover. The corbels and shelf, a cover for the sofa sleeper and some new curtains have me excited to play dress up with restyling this space!

I have lots of creative ideas and possibilities!

I’m happy to have this beautiful heart in my home!  It's prefect anytime and especially for the month of February with all things "hearts!"

Hearts make me smile, they make my heart happy! I’ve always been drawn to them. I’ve collected hearts over the years.

Follow your heart and do what you love. When decorating your home add pieces that you enjoy and are fond of. Those items are a reflection of you so use them and you’ll be happier for it!

Wreath Restyle for Winter

 

I've enjoyed restyling this beautiful wreath.  I purchased this lovely wreath from Kirkland's long ago and I have added embellishments to change it up for different holidays and seasons.

For winter I simply added some evergreen picks and buffalo plaid ribbon to change this beautiful wreath.  I just tucked the evergreen picks into it and then added the ribbon.  Just a couple items tucked into the wreath gave it a new look.  I can still use this favorite wreath seasonally by making simple changes by adding different elements.

I love this beautiful wreath, and have enjoyed it for many seasons, and hope to enjoy it for many more!

I haven't shared our sweet golden boy in a while and today is a good day to do so.

Winter Decor

Winter is the time for warm and cozy!  I've added a touch of winter decor for after the holidays.

I’m loving this beautiful pine and pinecones *pillow cover, it’s a nice addition to my winter decor and other pillow covers.  A simple pillow change was all that was needed to change this look for winter!

I love making floral arrangements.  Fresh or faux, simple or more elaborate. Greenery is the basic element and flowers are always a perfect component.

I tucked some buffalo check ribbon into this arrangement to coordinate with my decor.

It’s a simple addition that I like to include which helps coordinate, along with adding color and interest!

Over on our breakfast table I have this *Interchangeable Centerpiece, it had Christmas embellishments a couple weeks ago, you can see it here, now it’s simply styled with candles, evergreens, white florals and checked ribbon!
