Aeon Updates and Pups First Swim

Aeon is 23 weeks old now and the last time we weighed him (about two weeks ago) he was 50 lbs, so I know he weighs more than that now!  He is filling out nicely and even appears heavier and more muscular.  He is doing well with adjusting to freely sleeping out of the crate during the night.  We let him try it one night and he did very well and has since then.  His newest great thing is, I have taught him that he can get a drink out of the bath tub facet, he really likes that and stands there as if to say "Can I have a drink please?!", until I turn on the water.  He is getting some extra goodies with having a cooked egg added to his weekend breakfasts and we have been adding some tasty canned chicken and barley to his dinners, he licks the bowl clean most of the time!

I haven't worked him as much as I was with the obedience training, but he is usually a pretty good boy and only tests a little bit and seems to know the boundaries.  He is always very excited when greeting people and we are working on the jumping-up, and calming him down in theses situations.  He still likes to go farther than we want him too when off leash out in the back yard, and test us when we call him back.  He loves to be close and is usually right by your side or within sight though.  He has discovered the fireflies that are appearing now and thinks he can catch them and always tries but is perplexed by their escape from him.  Maybe that glow ball I got him recently has him thinking they are little balls up for grab?  Aeon is very loving and has become such a great addition to our family.  He is a happy boy and I am sure he smiles!

Our handsome boy!

"Slurp Slurp Slurp"

Aeon sure enjoys this ball and rope toy, given to him by Aunt Tammy and Uncle Jeff when they visited us.

He enjoys his new glow ball too, it lights up and flashes.  It's a special ball that we only play fetch with because it is not for chewing, which he tries to do sometimes.

This is the question face like, "What you talkin' about Willis?"  is what I call it, or "Did you say treat?!"

A beautiful Saturday afternoon at the park.
A little fun time for the pups, Aeon and Sara's pup Dallas in the water at the park.  Dallas took to the swimming like a natural, but Aeon was not as eager at first.  Not bad for their first time!  They both enjoyed walking the trails, and cooling off in the lake.  I think the next time we go they will be quickly jumping in for a swim!

"Ah this feels good!"

There goes Dallas taking off for his first swim!

Aeon had fun swimming in the lake too.

Aeon looks cooled off and also very wet and dirty too!

These two have become buddies.  I think they both think they are the size of the other one.  They are always so excited when they see each other and they play non-stop together!

...and sometimes we need to separate them so they will take a break!
(Aeon is over 50 lbs now and Dallas is only 12 lbs.)

Puppy fun-ness!...
