Christmas Table Decor

Time to set the table!  Christmas is right around the corner, and one of the areas I enjoy decorating for the Christmas holiday is our dining table.  Setting a pretty table is a real joy for me, I enjoy the creative process and endless possibilities.

This year I am loving lots of green, gold and creamy white.

These evergreen pine chargers I've had for a while, they work well for the holidays.  I used them under my candle holders and centerpiece this year, and I really like the look.

I layered each place setting using a round placemat, pretty charger, stack of plates, a green cloth napkin and gold glass pinecone ornament, and I tucked in a little pick of greenery with a gold pinecone.

To this end of the table I added a small tiered tray I decorated for Christmas.

Here's a close up of my Christmas themed tiered tray.

I am ready for Christmas!

Fall & Thanksgiving Table Decor

Decorating my home has always brought me joy.

Adding seasonal and holiday touches gives me a creative outlet, it fuels my soul.

And, styling a table is always fun, whether a simple casual setting or a more elaborate fancy or formal look.

From the imagined creative plan to seeing the end result, my heart is happy doing it!

~ My simple Fall & Thanksgiving table decor.  In keeping with the gold tones I've used for this fall season, I added a fall floral pick with golden leaves and a creamy colored mini pumpkin.  My gold flatware and crystal glasses were the perfect touch to fancy it up a bit.

Thanksgiving is almost here!

Lemon Themed Summer Tablescape

I have a real love for cut-glass and crystal…

These lovely pieces were thrift store and antique market finds.

I love their sparkle and how they dress up my table like beautiful jewelry.

These napkin rings are actually acrylic, they we’re a must have when I found them, especially since they match so well.

I always enjoy setting a beautiful table, these pieces make it easy to create simple and elegant styling!

Thrifty Fall Tablescape

It’s always fun to set a pretty table!

Those golden suede pumpkins were my inspiration for this festive Fall tablescape.

I pulled this fall setting together by using mostly $one dollar$ items and what I already had on hand!

The beautiful amber glass candle holders-with medal leaves attached, Fall florals-(tucked into the lamb’s ear greenery), plain & printed napkins, and burlap leaves are all from the Dollar Tree.

The adorable golden/mustard suede pumpkins are from Target.
Total cost was 10 bucks!

I shared my thrifty Fall Centerpiece makeover in a previous post.

I enjoy the challenge of not spending a lot to change up my decor!  “It doesn’t have to be expensive to make it beautiful!”

Happy Decorating!...

Simple Summer Style Tablescape

I just adore styling a table...

I’m enjoying this simple Summer style on our dining room table with beautiful flowers and lots of lamb’s ear.  Even if we're not going to be dining at home today, seeing the table set is pleasing to me.

I like the appearance of an inviting table that looks on the ready.  Styling a table is something that I enjoy doing.  Making it beautiful makes me smile!

Easter & Spring Tablescape

When what you had envisioned comes together ...and you step back and just ...SMILE!

I put this simple tablescape together using some recently purchased items and what was on hand.

Those cute painted-wood bunny napkin-rings were the final element that had me a bit giddy to pull them altogether for my sweet and simple Easter & Spring tablescape.

S*P*R*I*N*G...I’m so happy you’re here!!!

The days are getting longer, and warmer too.  And, there’s lots of green going on outside.  I love the freshness of Springtime!

It’s just the inspiration needed to add some fresh green decor inside.

A Romantic Table for Valentine's Day

I'm serving up some love and hearts!

I love these sweet little cookies “Mini Palmiers!”  Not only are they sweet and delicious, they look like hearts!  They are perfect for Valentines Day!

For a romantic table I’m using some roses, sweet treats and these heart plates I found years ago, they’re also perfect for Valentine’s Day!  I used a faux rose with a long stem and simply wrapped the stem around a pretty gold cloth napkin.

Since I had used most of this table decor recently for the New Year table and was still enjoying the charger plates and place mats on their own, I only needed to change up or add a few things.  I also still had part of the previous centerpiece, however I removed the winter greenery and added more roses.

I often prefer to be able to change up the look without changing everything.  Not always, but sometimes.  Especially if using some favorite items or something that was recently purchased and I want to enjoy it a little longer without going to something completely different.  And in the long run that leads to inexpensive and easy decorating, which I'm always all for!  And, that simply makes for a much easier way of decorating sometimes.  It doesn't have to cost a lot to make it beautiful!

We'll be doing our Valentine's Day celebrating/dinner on the Saturday after.  Hmmm, I'll be needing to buy more of these sweet cookies by then! *wink*

Wishing you a Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy New Year! Hello 2019
~ Holiday/New Year Table ~

A new day, a new month and a New Year!!!

~ Wishing all the best for everyone and a wonderful year ahead in 2019, I hope it brings many blessings for all of us!

~*~ ~*~ ~*~

One of my favorite things to decorate for the holidays is our dining table. Of course the Christmas tree is always the star of the show, and our fireplace mantel is another favorite too. But the dining table is something I truly enjoy decorating and have fun with different creative ideas.  We celebrate our family Christmas a little late so we can all be together, so it's often a Christmas/New Year celebration.

I wanted to share our Holiday/New Year's celebration table.  I enjoy setting a pretty table, I know I've said that numerous times here, it's true and I feel it always adds to the dining experience.  I like to share the table decor ideas I use, and it's nice to document them so I can come back later for inspiration and ideas, and I always hope it helps you with your table setting as well.

I kept the centerpiece decor similar to my Thanksgiving table, but made some simple changes.  Of course I removed the pumpkins and also changed the floral arrangement, and tucked in some winter greens with the lamb's ear greenery.  I added some simple plain holiday wreaths to the back of the chairs.

For each place setting I used these round neutral place mats and pretty cream chargers.  I placed a golden pine cone ornament embellished with a small gold painted pine cone with pine and holly greenery to the center.  A beautiful gold cloth napkin simply rolled up and secured with a pretty gold and pearl beaded napkin ring.  Later I'll add clear plates, the tableware and glasses, but I often like this uncluttered look for photographing the main decor.

I hope you have had a wonderful Christmas holiday with your family and friends.  Wishing you a healthy and prosperous new year ahead.

“Happy New Year” Hugs & Kisses!

Our Thanksgiving Table

I'm looking forward to having my loved ones gathered around this table as we give thanks and share our Thanksgiving meal together!

I enjoy bringing what I've envisioned to reality.  I am so pleased with the results of my Thanksgiving tablescape.

I look forward to setting a pretty table for special occasions, and this one is of course very special, one that is all about gathering and enjoying a meal together, and being thankful!

For our Thanksgiving table I used some items I already had and few new items.  In keeping with my desire to decorate on a budget, I try to practice some restraint in not over spending or buying a lot of new items if  I don't need too.

I had the pumpkins, candle holders and floral arrangement on hand, then I picked up some lamb's ear greenery, mesh ribbon, and the curly burlap & sparkle picks.  The sparkly apples were a recent find at the thrift store.

I had two different sets of round mats that were close in color, one set of eight and one set of six so I alternated them to have ample place settings for our family.  We had thirteen of us!

I had already planned on using my glass plates, and then I added paper doilies under each one to add another layer and to dress it up a little.  A simple cloth napkin and my pretty gold tableware finished off the look.  I later added the water glasses and wine glasses to each place setting.

So pleased that what I had envisioned was even more beautiful than I'd imagined!  Gotta love it when that happens.

It's a day of counting our blessings, and we have so much to be thankful for!  Enjoy your special day with family and friends.

I wish you a beautiful and blessed Thanksgiving!...

My Fall Tablescape

~ My Fall Tablescape ~

I've said many times before that setting a pretty table is one of my favorite things to do, when it comes to decorating.  And, I enjoy finding inexpensive items to add to my tablescapes, which give me the ability to change up the decor easily and without spending a lot of cash to do so!

I found some cute little green leaf plates at Target dollar spot, then at Hobby Lobby I picked up some 12x12 craft/scrapbook paper sheets with a Fall image of trees & leaves to use as placemats, and to add more fall color.  These were the only new items I purchased, everything else I already had on hand!

I simply layered the craft paper with a white paper doily, then a glass plate, a cream cloth napkin, the green leaf plates, and topped each place setting with a mini white pumpkin.

I’m pleased with the results and think it looks even better than I’d imagined!

Plus, it was inexpensive to create.  I love thrifty decor!

Happy Decorating!

Simple Summer Tablescape

It’s a bright and sunny Saturday!
We’re having beautiful summer weather!

I just finished doing a little prep for our Saturday dinner.  I picked up some sale items at Hobby Lobby and couldn’t resist styling my table with them!  Even if it’s just for the two of us.

A couple of the succulents were used as cute napkin rings, and the green dish cloths work as napkins. I shopped my home for the other items to complete this simple look.

I used a couple of white cloth napkins under each place setting, used my everyday dishes, and my golden tableware from Target!  It doesn't have to be expensive to look nice!  I set a pretty table using what I had on hand and a few bargain priced items.  Easy low cost decorating at it best!

Setting a pretty table is one of my favorite things to do!  And, I believe it makes a meal taste even better!

~ Happy Saturday and Happy Weekend...
