Green for Spring~ Decor Inspiration ~

S*P*R*I*N*G...I’m so happy you’re here!!!

The days are getting longer, and warmer too.  And, there’s lots of green going on outside.  I love the freshness of Springtime!

It’s just the inspiration needed to add some fresh green decor inside.

- These cute place mats and pretty faux tulips were a happy find at the Bed Bath & Beyond - Spring sale!

This view is making me smile today!  And, of course Springtime too!  What’s making you smile today?!

Spring Decor ~Adding touches of SPRING ~

Move over winter, it’s Spring’s turn!  The wait is over...Happy SPRING!!!

I am giddy as a child for our first weekend of the spring season. We even have a beautiful weather forecast for both days!

I’ve enjoyed adding some fresh decor for spring, and also seeing the grass out in our yard becoming green again!

Hello SPRING!!!

Happy Spring ~ From my home to yours!


I’m so excited to welcome the Spring season!  The long awaited day has arrived!  I am smiling happy, and have a "spring" in my step!  I simply couldn't resist that! :)

Daisies, for a fun welcome to Spring!  Don't you think?!  These faux daisies from Michael's will have to do for now, or until the real ones are available!  I've placed them in my thrifted pitcher that I'm so happy I was lucky enough to find a long time ago!  I often wonder "what makes one give away such a beauty?!"  Well, it's mine now and I am happy with that!

And, I'm so happy to say...

Happy SPRING!!!

SPRING Forward!

Springing forward an hour...It has put us even closer to Spring!

***That makes me smile!***

So does a bright and beautiful Monday, and that’s always a good start to the week!  I've been hearing of lots of folks complaining about the adjustment of the hour.

I’m quite happy to enjoy an extra hour of sunshine today!  And so happy we are closer to Spring!

My little touch of St. Patrick’s Day decor in our breakfast room.

Spring is on the way and I’m loving it, and doing a little decor refresh. I think Green is such a happy color!

I found the sweet clover wreath I have over on the door, at Target dollar spot.  I love finding fun decor items there!

March is here!~ St. Patrick's Day Decor

Feeling LUCKY

...because March brings us St. Patrick’s Day, and it also brings us SPRING!

I had fun creating a little vignette using some items I found for just a couple of dollars, these green clovers/shamrocks and some ribbon.

I already had the other items!  Strings of beads placed into the candle holders added pops of color.

I like to use things in threes whenever possible, I’ve heard “three for luck” so I’ll not argue with that!?!

A Romantic Table for Valentine's Day

I'm serving up some love and hearts!

I love these sweet little cookies “Mini Palmiers!”  Not only are they sweet and delicious, they look like hearts!  They are perfect for Valentines Day!

For a romantic table I’m using some roses, sweet treats and these heart plates I found years ago, they’re also perfect for Valentine’s Day!  I used a faux rose with a long stem and simply wrapped the stem around a pretty gold cloth napkin.  

Since I had used most of this table decor recently for the New Year table and was still enjoying the charger plates and place mats on their own, I only needed to change up or add a few things.  I also still had part of the previous centerpiece, however I removed the winter greenery and added more roses.

I often prefer to be able to change up the look without changing everything.  Not always, but sometimes.  Especially if using some favorite items or something that was recently purchased and I want to enjoy it a little longer without going to something completely different.  And in the long run that leads to inexpensive and easy decorating, which I'm always all for!  And, that simply makes for a much easier way of decorating sometimes.  It doesn't have to cost a lot to make it beautiful!

We'll be doing our Valentine's Day celebrating/dinner on the Saturday after.  Hmmm, I'll be needing to buy more of these sweet cookies by then! *wink*

Love & Hearts for February ~ Valentine themed Tiered Tray

I love tiered trays! I have a few, it’s fun to style them and change them up for the holidays and seasons. I enjoy finding items most often simply from around my home, and sometimes I find perfectly sized items while out shopping.

I gathered items on hand for my Valentine’s Day theme.  Some happy hearts, a little love, flowers and some spring inspiration!  Of course I love all things “hearts” so I’ve added several here.  I kept it soft and neutral with muted colors and pretty pinks. 

I approach these trays with a fun attitude and don't fuss too much, and just have fun with it.  I just place items in a manner which is pleasing to me.  I start with items that relate to a holiday, season, theme or occasion.  

I like to have pairs or sets of things, and often use them on opposite sides and or group them together, as I've done here.  I have two different sets/pairs of candle holders, and two of the pretty wooden hearts, and two of the pick/bundles of greenery.  There is no hard fast rule, as I said "I just have fun with it!"

I enjoyed a beautiful day, had our back door open and I spent some of the day out on our porch, we were expecting a record high of 77° today, it reached 79°...Yeah Baby!  Even if only for today. I’ll take it!

I shared some of our Breakfast area and the decor recently.  I've been adding some hearts for February and Valentine's Day.  I placed my Valentine themed tiered tray over in front of the window where I can admire it!  I hope I have helped to give you some ideas and inspiration for styling a tiered tray.

Fun Kitchen Decor Idea - February/Valentine's Day~ Mini Ladder /Dish Towel Holder

I’ve been enjoying this sweet display for February and in honor of Valentine’s Day!

I created this simple little *ladder for displaying decorative dish towels in our kitchen.  I may have screamed out loud when I saw these sweet towels at Target... because they’re adorable and sooo me.
