We had a little trip to North Carolina on Friday so we stopped on the way back to stay in Greenville, SC over night. Some family time together with our daughter, son-in-law and the two grands! And, we also took our four-legged furr-baby Aeon along with us, who enjoyed spending time with everyone, most especially the grands, and also their four-legged furr-baby Windsor.
We had a fun evening with them on Friday night and also as we enjoyed watching them do home-made pasta. They have a pasta making machine so along with using a home made dough recipe, they make fresh pasta. The choice was fettuccine or spaghetti, and it was agreed by all that spaghetti would be the pasta they would make. What a fun gadget! Although this is not a quick endeavor, they have become quite good at the whole process, and are an excellent team working together to achieve what was a most delicious home dining experience. They did an impressive job! Some fresh spaghetti topped with a tasty homemade tomato sauce, garnished with grated parmesan cheese, served along with bread and herb/seasoned olive oil, and some red wine of course! Everything was so good, and the pasta was so delicious! Definitely my kind of meal, it's Italian!
On our way there and during a stop at a rest area, Aeon met some furr-friends and seemed happy to share the area with them, as they all looked happy to be there.
Or, happy to be out of the vehicles!
Dogs sure can bring people together, we often meet other
dog lovers when out with our dog.

Our good boys, Aeon and Windsor.
Waiting patiently for a treat while I got a quick photo of their cuteness, just before they ran off to play in the back yard.
Me and my girls!
*Giggles* 'Cause ya know?...girls just wanna have fun!
Capturing a Mother/Daughter moment.
After hopping up onto my lap, it was decided his pose was too cute not to capture,
even though he wasn't really supposed to be up there!
I'm grandma to this little guy, too! His brother, Dallas lives with our other daughter.
My furry grandsons! ;)
And, speaking of grands ...
We will call this "Take-one!"
And, "Take-two!"
Try as I may, it is just about impossible to capture a 'clear' photo of two kids, and two dogs!
But, you probably already know that.
Someone was always in motion!

Time to make some PASTA!
The dough for the pasta is ready. He's a trained professional at this!
I called him our "dough-boy."
In making the pasta they perform the magic by feeding the dough through the pasta machine.
After a few more passes through the machine, the dough is all stretched
and thinned out.
(This is a good photo of the pasta making machine)
Next, in goes the dough, out comes spaghetti!
Lots of spaghetti!
Lots, and lots of spaghetti!
This is another cool gadget, this one is to dry the pasta on before cooking,
so it doesn't stick together.
Draining the pasta ...it's ready now!
Let's eat!
I think these boys want some of that spaghetti, too.
It was a very delicious meal! I might have even had a little bit of a second helping ...It was that good!
We had a great evening!

Now, fast forward to our drive home on Saturday morning, it was a wet and rainy slow, slow journey as we crept across the state line inch by inch due to ...well, we never saw the actual reason as to why! Assuming an accident since the GPS showed it to be that.
So, what would normally be a two and a half hour drive was almost four hours! Sometimes there are things you just have to deal with and since we were unable to get around this in order to cross the lake, we endured the agony of it all. Except for this one part of the weekend, ...it was all good!
