A "Grand" Birthday

We enjoyed a day with family and friends as we celebrated a "Grand" Birthday
on Saturday in Greenville, SC.

A Birthday Party shared with family and friends.
The Birthday Girl is all smiles.  Lil' Sis is all smiles too.

Concert - Steely Dan - Birthday for Hubby

We attended the Steely Dan Concert last night!  This was a special gift I gave to Hubby for his birthday, which actually is today.  We had a fantastic time!  We are both in agreement in saying this was one of the the best shows we have seen.  We are huge fans of Steely Dan and this was a royal treat for us!  They opened the show playing the entire "Aja" album, which by the way is Marty's favorite of theirs.  We have seen them perform live before, but this was made even better by the songs they played, which included most of our all time favorites, and the seats we had -5th row from the stage!  This was an outdoor event at the Verizon Wireless Ampitheatre at Encore Park in Alpharetta, Georgia.  A perfect evening for a perfect show!  A very memorable birthday gift for Marty!

Ready for an evening with Steely Dan!

Preparing the stage.
Nice seats, close to the stage!

Marty bought a t-shirt in memory of the event.

Happy Birthday Daughter

Happy Birthday Baby girl!
I hope your birthday brings you as much joy and happiness as you have given to me, and on your special day you feel as special as you truly are.
May you always be blessed with the good things you deserve.

My heart is filled with memories of a sweet little girl who touched my heart and changed my world forever.
I've enjoyed watching you grow into the beautiful young woman you are today.
How lucky I am to have you as my daughter.  I'm also lucky to have you as a dear, close friend.
We have shared so many fond and memorable moments together and many of those were filled with great laughter.
I cherish every moment shared with you and look forward to many, many more.
I know this world is a better place for having you in it, I am so glad you are a part of mine.
You are a very precious gift that I treasure.  You are a wonderful daughter and I'm very proud to be your mother.
You will always be my baby.
I love you.

The only thing missing from her birthday was her two front teeth!

Our Anniversary/My Birthday

Today we mark thirty-two years of marriage together!

To:  My Hunkband Marty!

Wow, we celebrate thirty-two years together today!
We share so many memories, and there may have been days that we might question "how have we made it this long together?"  We have experienced hard times that pulled us to one another stronger and closer, as we've shared in life's journey together with love.  Sharing in good times and bad, that is what life and marriage is all about. Standing the test of time. Today is one of those really good days and a time that we can say "Hey we made it!", and be so very proud to have come this far and shared so much of our lives together.

We still hold hands and over the years we've walked miles together arm in arm or hand and hand.  You still make me smile, and melt my heart too when you look into my eyes.  My gentleman that still opens doors for me, looks out for me and keeps me safe.  I am comforted by your protection and I know you'll always have my back.  You have always been my rock when I've needed strength, my shoulder to cry on in times of sorrow, and through hard times, my soft place to fall.

Our friendship is and always has been the guide to our love for each other. Happy Anniversary to you and me, and may life bring us many more special moments together for each other to have and to hold from this day forward, for even better, less worse, richer, less poorer, less sickness and in good health, to cherish with even more love, til death do us part.

I Love You!

All my love, always...

Birthday Celebration for our Daughter's 30th

We traveled to Greenville, SC on Saturday to celebrate our Daughter's 30th Birthday over the weekend!  We went to the Brown Street Club downtown that evening and had a nice dinner while being entertained by live jazz performances.  It was a very fun time!  We later had some more fun back at her house with her opening some birthday surprises!  I had put together a couple special gifts and also a few fun gifts for her, I mean... a bag of 30 gifts!  Oh Yes I did!  It was a collection of fun items such as, (to name a few) a purple sparkled ink pen, contact lens case, bag of Dove dark chocolates, two purple Brighton beads, bangle bracelets, cherry Twizzler bites, and three different bottles of Pinot Grigio wine, one for every decade of course, and on, and on, and on!  Also a Cake Pop maker, that will be fun for her and her girls to create cake pops!  I made a few special gifts too, jewelry, personalized Hershey Kisses with "30" on them, Thirty suckers with a "30 Sucks" sign, and one of my favorites was a photo collage that I created from different images.

Enjoy the photos telling a bit of the story!

Happy Birthday to My Guy

To the man in my life who shares in this roller coaster ride of marriage with me, the one who can drive me crazy in more ways then one, is crazy for me and who I am also crazy about.  You're my brat-n-half, my third child sometimes, my babe and my ol' man too.  My partner, best buddy and my biggest fan, even my pain in the...neck, or a headache sometimes.  My knight in shining armor and my hero too.  My honey, my heart throb, my handsome guy.  The one who can often be in the dog house, yet more often be oh so very charming, loving and good.  That guy who started a pitter-patter in me a long time ago, who has my love and holds my heart.  My not so secret admirer, my lover, my best friend.  The first smile I see in the morning and my last kiss goodnight.
As you are a another year older today may you, grow ever more wiser as you sail through all of life's obstacles and challenges to come, have many more great years ahead of you, enjoy a day that's all yours, and celebrate all the gifts you have in your life and those around you that love you.
Don't worry so much about the number of candles on your cake, remember no matter how old you get, just know that I don't think you'll ever grow up, there's still a lot of little boy in the man you are today. It's been said that age is just a number, and today you're number one! So on your birthday I wish for you all that you hope for, all that you dream of, and all that makes you happy. May your birthday bring big smiles to your face and much happiness to your heart.

Many years ago on your birthday you gave me a proposal, a promise to spend the rest of your life and love with me. Because you are a gift in my life, I give you my gift of love.
 Happy Birthday Marty
 I Love You

My Hubby's Birthday Celebration

Hubby's Birthday Cake!

A delicious German Chocolate cake purchased from The Village Corner German Restaurant and Bakery in Stone Mountain, GA.  They have great food and some of the best bakery goods around!  If you ever get a chance to dine there I do recommend it!  This was a delicious German Chocolate cake!   He picked this as his birthday cake choice (his favorite cake), and where he wanted to get it from.  Great choice, and I'm so glad I got to enjoy it too!  Yum!

What a beautiful cake!

He says "Why mess it up with candles"
...fingers work too = 53

Having our cake and eating it too...
