What would we do without weekends?

~ A Beautiful Weekend ~

Oh what a nice weekend. Sunny and warm on Saturday, cooler on Sunday and partly cloudy. Perfect after a bit of rain at the end of the week.  I am sooo glad it's June!  This warm weather gal is happy to have 'sunny and warm' every day, if possible!

We (Hubby and I) did some of the usual weekend things:

Saturday
-Slept in, well I mean, we woke up around 9:30 without the alarm, alarming us!
-I made Bacon, Spinach, Cheese and Tomato- Omelettes(mmm), coffee, toast and juice for breakfast.
-A few life chores accomplished around the house, then later a little workout/exercise time for the both of us, before cleaning up for the evening.
-We decided to go out for the evening to one of our favorite Italian places for dinner Paizano's...Yum!  It was a very good dinner, and a little extra splurge of chocolate cake and coffee for dessert!  It's always a pleasing experience when we go there!
-A quick stop to finish up some Father's day gifts shopping on the way home. (trying to be done early, and on time!)
-Watched a movie (new DVD purchased during the shopping stop) "The Recruit" at home later to finish off the evening.

Sunday
-I woke around 7ish and tossed and turned until I decided it was time to go enjoy some coffee since I was awake!
-Simple breakfasts of scrambled eggs with cheese, toast, juice and coffee.
-My grocery shopping list was looked over and updated for our planned afternoon outing.
-I did a little cyber catch-up i.e. cleaning out the email pile, photo uploading, a little cyber/window shopping, and worked on the blog you're reading now.  He did cyber/window shopping of his own as well.  (I'm so glad we don't have to share a computer!)
-A bit of lazying for the afternoon.
-We had a nice lunch of the left-overs from our dinner the night before at Paizano's, It might have tasted even better!  I also thought it a good idea to not be hungry when we go to the grocery store!...(this is a little trick of mine, it helps you to not want all the extra junk that lures you in, when you are hungry and are more easily tempted to buy those instantly gratifying goodies out there!)
-Then off to do the shopping for some much needed food and supplies to aid in our survival over the next week or so.
-A dinner of grilled chicken, black beans, jasmine rice, sauteed asparagus and a nice bottle of Corvo
- After dinner, some Chil-laxing out on the back deck with our glasses of wine, at sunset and under the stars!  A very nice evening!
-A bit of TV watching later to finish off the day/evening/weekend before off to bed to start a new week!
I hope you had a great weekend too!

Nite Nite!...
