Fall & Thanksgiving Table Decor

Decorating my home has always brought me joy.

Adding seasonal and holiday touches gives me a creative outlet, it fuels my soul.

And, styling a table is always fun, whether a simple casual setting or a more elaborate fancy or formal look.

From the imagined creative plan to seeing the end result, my heart is happy doing it!

~ My simple Fall & Thanksgiving table decor.  In keeping with the gold tones I've used for this fall season, I added a fall floral pick with golden leaves and a creamy colored mini pumpkin.  My gold flatware and crystal glasses were the perfect touch to fancy it up a bit.

Thanksgiving is almost here!

Fall Centerpiece

It’s been a “leave the back door open” kind of day…A warm November day, beautiful and sunny. We’ve had a few of them this week.

This view along with a little fresh air and sunshine is making me smile today!

I've enjoyed this box and changing it for the seasons and holidays.  Here I've given it some fall picks with golden toned leaves and cream colored pumpkins, and a pretty cut-crystal candle holder in the center.

I'll be sharing my fall & Thanksgiving table decor soon.  I love to decorate the table!

Cozy Fall Family room

Let’s get cozy…It’s been feeling more like winter than fall!

A few fall accessories, pillow covers, throws and a pumpkin or two add a cozy autumn touch!

Oh and, Hubby asks “Do you think there are enough pillows?!

This cozy sofa came with pillows…and I added more!

Fall Florals in our Foyer

And then it was November!…

new day, new week, new month!

I'm enjoying these fall florals in our foyer and this view into our living room on this bright November day.

Fall florals in our foyer thanks to a few of my favorite shopping places.  I purchased this beautiful tall vase and florals online (sources below).  The golden tones compliment the other golds here and in our living room.  I've been using more gold for fall this year and I'm loving it!

Happy November!

Fall Mantel

HOME is my favorite place to be!

Speaking of favorites…

Decorating our fireplace mantel is a favorite thing for me.  This beautiful wreath from Kirklands is an all-time favorite.  I enjoy changing it up seasonally.  I've hung the wreath on an iron piece layered over a mirror.  I added a pair of iron candleholders with pretty ruffled glass globes I found at a thrift store, and two cute velvet pumpkins.

And this “HOME” sign is a favorite too! Mine was a gift from my daughter. I’ve linked it in my amazon and shop.ltk shopping links below.

It has several interchangeable pieces for seasons and holidays, and there are additional pieces that can be purchased, which I did.  It's a fun decor item that can be used all year!  I just love decor with options for easy change, don’t you?!

I think it’s so adorable and makes a great gift!

My Thrifty Fall Decor

A couple of my favorite thrifty finds…

This heart-shaped tin and the green painted wood & iron piece.

I enjoy being able to change up the florals in the tin, it’s an easy way to add color and texture seasonally, and for holidays too.

The iron piece adds color and interest and doesn’t totally obstruct the view. I love the green color and the iron has heart shapes in it which I also love.
Pairing these two finds together was a great idea and I’m pleased with the look, and both items cost me only a few dollars!

Using my thrifty decor items along with faux florals & foliage picks I already had equals easy decorating, and since it doesn't cost much it's very budget friendly!

A Golden Autumn
Fall Decor in our Living Room

“Autumn carries more gold in its pocket than all the other seasons.”

Speaking of "gold" I'm using a lot of gold tones for my fall decor this year.  It's one of my favorite colors, and I enjoy using it throughout the seasons.

I created this beautiful magnolia arrangement, it’s also a favorite of mine. I love magnolias, their big beautiful creamy white blooms.   A true favorite of the south too!

Our first weekend of Fall was a beautiful one here, and October is off to beautiful start too!

Happy October!

Happy FALL

Flowers always make everyday better!

That, and sunshine…

It’s a bright and sunny first Friday of Fall today!

I always enjoy finding cute decor that I had packed away and had forgotten about! Now that fall is officially here, it’s all things Fall!

Happy FALL!

Hello October

Fall feels with this cute sweater pumpkin.

It sure feels like I could use a sweater here today, there’s a little chill in the air.

We have sunshine, a bright blue sky and it’s a beautiful Fall day!

Fall is here!

October, is the official mark of fall for me!  More so since I've been living in the south.  It's hard to think it's fall when it is still blazing hot outside.  I don't hate fall, I just dislike what follows it!

There's much to love about Fall!  I think I love the change of colors the most in the Fall. Oh, and the comforts like delicious comfort foods such as soups, stews and yummy chili!  And also the feel of cozy blankets and warm sweaters.

~ Wishing you a beautiful October!...

Thrifty Fall Decor

Well, September sure passed in a about minute didn’t it?!

I’m usually slow to “fall” but getting the fall feels now over here!  Since October arrives tomorrow I am officially letting go of summer.  Me the summer lovin' gal!

While anticipating adding more fall decor I've been thinking that less is more this year or taking a simplistic approach.  Maybe it's due to this whole situation of life we've all been experiencing.

We will see if that less is more simplicity holds true in the weeks ahead.*wink*

This sweet little sunflowers picture is a found treasure while thrifting last winter, something about it spoke to me and I loved the gold frame! I got it and then tucked it away.

I was delighted to find it among my fall decor stash so out it came and I’ve placed it here in this vignette to enjoy and welcome fall!

Hey look at me, I think I'm doing the simplistic, less is more thing here!*smiles*

Enjoy!...

Hello FALL
~Adding a touch of fall

It’s a beautiful first day of fall here in Georgia. We have fall temps today with lots of sunshine.  It's still very green outdoors and we're seeing only a slight change in color of the leaves.

I’m enjoying this lovely view today and these pretty maple leaves.  I used them to create this simple arrangement with a nod to fall.

Lovin’ their neutral vibe!

You can find the direct link to this cream maple leaf bush and more at my liketoknow.it link!

I hope you’re having a wonderful first day of fall, and as it’s said here in the south...

Happy Fall Y’all!

Fall Shelf Decor

I have a few spaces in our home that I enjoy changing for the seasons and holidays. This space is definitely one of them!

Hubby put this shelf up for me long ago.  I knew it world be perfect for this spot, and fun to decorate.
Sometimes I make only minimal changes or add just a bit of a holiday or seasonal touch.

I've enjoyed using greens and golds this Fall season, they're two of my favorite colors so I'm happy they have been popular this year!

I’m just getting used to fall and pumpkins around here, although I’m beginning to see lots of Christmas inspiration that has begun.  There are many ideas floating around in my mind at the moment!

Fall Decor
~Greens, Golds and Pumpkins

How is it the last weekend of October already?!  We’ve had a couple chilly mornings, but it’s been warm most days and there is still plenty of green outside.  My clematis vine even has new blooms on it!  We’ve definitely had some weather swings, but that is true to the South!

A touch of Fall over here in front of the window is a match to the greens and golds in the view beyond!  I found this beautiful heart shaped tin container at the thrift store, I love it all the more now filled with greenery and a Fall variety!

My happy heart loves a thrifty bargain, and anything heart shaped!!!

Happy decorating!...

Fall Wreath

I made something pretty for our front door today!  This lovely Fall wreath.  We are just inside the second month of the Fall season and some of the beautiful Fall colors are appearing outside.

It's been so hot and dry here that I've wondered if we will even see much Fall color change before the leaves just dry up and fall off!

We have a storm door, so a lower profile wreath is needed due to the narrow space between the two doors.

I chose to use a simple wire wreath form and covered it with burlap/mesh ribbon folded in half.

Next I cut-off part of the stems from two floral picks, placed them in opposite directions and attached them and a pre-made bow, using floral wire.

It was simple, easy and low cost!  And, I can easily change the look for another season or holiday, too!

- Items List, Sources & Prices:
Floral Picks - Hobby Lobby 1/2 off =1.99 ea
Ribbon - Hobby Lobby 1/2 off =3.98 per 10 yd roll (Used appox 1 yard)
Wire wreath - Dollartree =1.00
Bow - from a recent gift pkg =.00

This will easily adorn my door until Christmas decor makes its way there!

I hope you've found this easy wreath inspiring and you'll make something pretty for your door too!

Happy Crafting and Decorating!...

Fall Centerpiece Basket

I created this lovely Fall centerpiece by adding some lamb’s ear greenery, sunflowers, and a faux pumpkin to this pretty basket I recently found at a thrift store.

The basket was only two bucks and it was already painted in a neutral color, which matches well with my decor.  I love it when that happens, don’t you?!

I always encourage others to have a look at the thrift stores and antique markets!  You never know what treasures you'll find!

~ I’ll enjoy styling this thrifty treasure throughout the seasons!...

Thrifty Fall Tablescape

It’s always fun to set a pretty table!

Those golden suede pumpkins were my inspiration for this festive Fall tablescape.

I pulled this fall setting together by using mostly $one dollar$ items and what I already had on hand!

The beautiful amber glass candle holders-with medal leaves attached, Fall florals-(tucked into the lamb’s ear greenery), plain & printed napkins, and burlap leaves are all from the Dollar Tree.

The adorable golden/mustard suede pumpkins are from Target.
Total cost was 10 bucks!

I shared my thrifty Fall Centerpiece makeover in a previous post.

I enjoy the challenge of not spending a lot to change up my decor!  “It doesn’t have to be expensive to make it beautiful!”

Happy Decorating!...

Fall Centerpiece

I recently did a little restyling to my thrifty centerpiece that I shared back in the summer, and now it’s updated for Fall!

I visited the Dollar Tree and found these cute auburn colored candle holders, each with a sweet little metal leaf attached to it! And, I also got some Fall florals to tuck into the lamb’s ear greenery I had on it before!

Just a couple bucks to transform and update it!  That's my favorite kind of decorating!

A glimpse of the before, after the original makeover.  See the original post here!

Next I'll be sharing a thrifty fall tablescape!  I'm off to do some shopping!

And, then it was October!

I’m getting into Fall now, even though we are still feeling like toasted marshmallows here with temps in the 90’s!  A change is eventual!...

I went to Target and I fell in love!  This adorable golden suede pumpkin, which some may call mustard, is making me smile today.  I love the beautiful color and it’s velvety softness! It’s possible I got more than one!

Be still my gold lovin’ heart!

I’m giving this beautiful gold pumpkin the special treatment under my cloche and atop a gold rimmed mini-goblet!  They match quite well, so I think it is gold!

~ Happy October!

Fall Framed Art
~Easy Craft DIY

And then it was FALL!

Adding a simple touch of Fall. So easy to create, too!

I picked up a cute copper colored frame and a Fall greeting card at the Dollar Tree. Yep, just two bucks! The frame was a bit shiny, so I took a metal nail file and gave it some distressing! I loved the beautiful pumpkin scene on the card. I simply cut it to fit the frame and voila!

I just love a quick inexpensive project that gives me new & beautiful decor. Oh, and white pumpkins, I LOVE little white pumpkins!

Happy Fall Ya'll!

Our Thanksgiving Table

I'm looking forward to having my loved ones gathered around this table as we give thanks and share our Thanksgiving meal together!

I enjoy bringing what I've envisioned to reality.  I am so pleased with the results of my Thanksgiving tablescape.

I look forward to setting a pretty table for special occasions, and this one is of course very special, one that is all about gathering and enjoying a meal together, and being thankful!

For our Thanksgiving table I used some items I already had and few new items.  In keeping with my desire to decorate on a budget, I try to practice some restraint in not over spending or buying a lot of new items if  I don't need too.

I had the pumpkins, candle holders and floral arrangement on hand, then I picked up some lamb's ear greenery, mesh ribbon, and the curly burlap & sparkle picks.  The sparkly apples were a recent find at the thrift store.

I had two different sets of round mats that were close in color, one set of eight and one set of six so I alternated them to have ample place settings for our family.  We had thirteen of us!

I had already planned on using my glass plates, and then I added paper doilies under each one to add another layer and to dress it up a little.  A simple cloth napkin and my pretty gold tableware finished off the look.  I later added the water glasses and wine glasses to each place setting.

So pleased that what I had envisioned was even more beautiful than I'd imagined!  Gotta love it when that happens.

It's a day of counting our blessings, and we have so much to be thankful for!  Enjoy your special day with family and friends.

I wish you a beautiful and blessed Thanksgiving!...
