Aeon @ 16 months

Life with Aeon...The tales continue...

... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...

Aeon is right at sixteen months old and he weighs 85 lbs.  He is still a growing boy but at a much slower rate these days.  He is usually ever the happy pup most of the time, loves to be near us, and loves getting special treats.  He sure is a handsome fella and is such a great subject to photograph!  I love how he seems to smile most of the time too!

We had his check-up recently and all is well health wise and he is about the weight he should be.  We had although recently discovered a small unusual raised spot on his tummy area and had the vet look at it at his check-up.  After examination and testing the vet called it a benign cyst and said it wasn't worrisome, but also said that it was recommend that it would be best for it to be removed and to prevent further growth.  We then scheduled the surgery for the following week.

Aeon has since had the surgery last Friday, he had to spend the night for observation, then we brought him home the next morning.  He is doing well but understandably he wasn't seeming very happy at first due to having to wear the cone-collar...or as hubby calls it the "collar of shame".  Aww, poor buddy! I can't wait til he is all healed and is his usual happy self again!  We will all be happy to not have the collar on him anymore!

He looks as if he is could be thinking "No don't take photos of me wearing...the cone of shame!"

He's is definitely getting lots of extra attention and lovin' at the moment!...
