Fun Gift Idea

I put together a little surprise of a birthday package that I hoped would be fun and unusual.  I came up with the idea because I wanted to do something different, and also fun, for my sister for her birthday.  Today is actually her birthday by-the-way, so a great big "Happy Birthday" shout-out to her! :)

I had a few little gift items for her, and decided to add to what I already had by getting a few more.  There were practical items and some were more novelty items, or something for a laugh, a giggle, or a smile!  I do love a good laugh and I know she does too, so this was fun for me to put together as I thought it would also be fun for her to receive too!  We live in separate states so I knew I would need to ship a gift anyway, and small, light-weight items would work well for this plan.

I purchased brown paper lunch bags to place the individual gifts in, and I wrote little personal notes on the outside of each bag, to give an explanation, hint of what was inside, or a little note of humor.  Just stapling the bags closed was simply not going to do, or be a pleasing look...uh-uh no way!  So I used my handy one hole punch to add a couple holes, then I threaded curly ribbon through them, tied the ribbon into bows and curled the ends.  So cute and easy too!

I may have over done it just a bit, just a teeny little bit, by including fourteen bags for her to open.  {I've added a few examples of the gift bags below}  I'm still giggling about this whole thing!  But, mind you, there were several inexpensive or novelty items and a few although useful, were also for fun or a good laugh.

Individual gift bags with personal messages written on the front.  Sealed with curly ribbon. This is a few completed, ready, and added to the box to prepare for shipping.

This gift bag simply said "Yum", it contained some honey roasted cashews.
I know she likes them!

I really had fun with this bag!
This gift bag contained a large Hershey's Kiss along with a musical Birthday Candle that played the "Happy Birthday to You" tune.
{Never mind my lovely penmanship!}

This gift bag contained a 12 x magnifying mirror.  To help her see better...uh huh!
{I also had to get one of those for myself!  It's amazing what one of those can help you see, that you didn't see or notice before!}

This gift bag required two paper bags to cover the gift, but I made it work!
I'm sure she loved the gift that was inside too!

Funny huh?!  I just couldn't resist it, when I saw this I had to get it!!
It's just too cute and of course, funny!

Maybe you have some unsuspecting person in mind to do this gifting idea for.  Be creative and use your imagination.  Find little items that are useful and items that might have a specific meaning, but most of all have fun and make it fun!

Hope your day brings you much to smile about!...
