Thoughts and Things this week - A wonderful "Wedding" weekend!

I am so happy to share this post, we have been in "wedding" mode, and what a wonderful time it has been!

Our youngest daughter's wedding!  Exciting times for certain.  Over the past few days I have been feeling bittersweet, both happy and sad at the same time with the wedding being behind us.  All the time and planning, and the anticipation of the big day, now a happy memory.  I could not be happier, nor more proud, of every single part of this wonderful, memorable, and most special occasion.  It was quite the celebration.  Such a happy day to look back on and remember.

We could not have asked for a more perfect day for an outdoor wedding.  It was beautiful, so very perfect!  We made a long weekend of it in the Roswell, Georgia area, staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton, while the Wedding Ceremony and Reception was held on Saturday at the beautiful Naylor Hall, also in Roswell.

The bride was absolutely beautiful, so stunning!  The handsome groom was all smiles as she made her way down the aisle to him, on her father's arm.  I, the proud mother of the bride was beaming with pride and trying to hold back tears, happy tears, as I was overjoyed and filled with emotion.  [I can't wait to see the professional photos!  For now, here are various instant-shots from camera phones.]

She has always been a bright spot in our lives.  From our precious baby girl to the beautiful bride on her wedding day.  I've never seen her shine so bright.  I could not have been more proud nor happier for her, and for him, then I was on this very special day.  She had a glow about her all day, and her smile said it all!  They look so happy together.  I hope they have a lifetime of love and happiness, and enjoy a very long and happy marriage, and life together.

The colors were vibrant and gorgeous, an aqua-(spa) color for the ladies' gowns, grey for the fellas' tuxedos with matching aqua pieces, and peachy-pink, coral and cream flowers.  From the ceremony through the reception everything was beautifully done.   A very special day that we were so happy to share with our family and friends.
