Lemon Themed Summer Tablescape

I have a real love for cut-glass and crystal…

These lovely pieces were thrift store and antique market finds.

I love their sparkle and how they dress up my table like beautiful jewelry.

These napkin rings are actually acrylic, they we’re a must have when I found them, especially since they match so well.

I always enjoy setting a beautiful table, these pieces make it easy to create simple and elegant styling!

Still Enjoying Sweet Summertime and Lemons

I’m over here still enjoying my sweet summertime…and lemons, I love both!

I’ve noticed some have already given up on summer and are making a jump to the next season. I can totally understand, we all have our favorite seasons!…spring and summer are mine!
With life in the south our summer is in full swing thru August and into September!…and I’m OK with that!

~ I hope you’re having a lovely summer day!

Lemon Themed Centerpiece

,It’s always fun to change up this centerpiece…

Lemons are the perfect touch for now, and these add a lovely summer vibe.

I love lemons and I’m loving these lovely lemon & wildflower picks from thenestedfig.com

I simply tucked the picks in with some other greenery, added a beautiful crystal bowl and candle to the center, and now I have a new look for our table.  And it's perfect for summer!

Dining Room Summer Decor

We've been enjoying sweet summertime and lots of sunshine.

And, currently I'm enjoying this view of our dining room with soft neutral tones, creamy florals, gold accents and items that sparkle.  A few of my favorite things.

It’s giving me a calm and cool feeling on this hot summer’s day!

Summer Decor Inspiration ~ Thrifty Style

Here’s a view of the side table in our dining room. I’ve styled it using a few of my favorite things.

I love the combination of colors and textures.

God Bless AMERICA!

Tiered Tray - Summer style

I dressed up my little tiered tray today!

Just a little something I put together with a summer feel using some greens, white flowers and the sweetest picture frame I found at GW for 1$ sometime ago. I simply used an image from a sales brochure to create the picture in the frame!

Patriotic Decor

Happy 4th of July!

A little patriotic decor in our upstairs hallway.

Wishing everyone a happy Independence Day! And even though it may be different this year, I hope we all can enjoy a wonderful celebration of this beautiful country and our home sweet home!

“Happy Independence Day & Happy Birthday America!”

Our Golden boy Aeon isn’t so sure about all of the noise associated with this holiday, but we keep reassuring him that it’s all good and everything is fine, that he’s safe here with us, has our love and protection, and extra hugs!
We celebrate our flag, our independence and this great country today. It’s a great day to celebrate, a great day for America!

God bless us all and God bless America!

Be safe!
XOXO ~ Tammy

Hello JULY

And, then it was July!

::: A new day, a new month and new beginnings...And, a patriotic welcome in our foyer.

I love this beautiful heart shaped tin flag, a Cracker Barrel find from a few years back.

It's perfect for the month of July displayed on our door.

We’ve had a beautiful first day of July. A lovely summer’s day.

I look forward to many more ahead!...

Hello September

And, then it was September!  So nice that’s it’s a long holiday weekend, too!

We have much to celebrate in September, and I’m looking forward to it! We have a few family birthdays this month.
I’m wishing all the days of September will be as beautiful as today!

~ I hope you’re enjoying a wonderful Labor Day holiday weekend!

Centerpiece Makeover

This lovely centerpiece is the result of a thrifty makeover.  I much prefer the way it looks now compared to when I found it at a thrift store!  I thought it had potential and I could make it look better, so I grabbed it up!

Below is the before.

It really wasn't to my liking as it was, but I felt I could give it some love and make it my own.

I then searched the glass area in hopes of finding some candle holders for it, and found three glasses that were perfect to use as candle holders, and they fit nicely.

Now I felt it all coming together and had a plan in mind for it!  At that point I was excited to transform my treasure!

I got it home and removed the old faux greenery and fruits, then gave everything a good cleaning.
I actually liked the look after I stripped everything off and considered leaving it as it was.

But, I decided I’d add some Lamb’s ear greenery, which I already had on hand, for a fresh Spring/Summer look at the time.  I was so pleased with the final results!

I’ve enjoyed having this pretty centerpiece on our breakfast table.  It makes me smile knowing that it looks much better than it did and I spent under five bucks in all!  I now look forward to giving it some Seasonal changes!

I just love finding a good thrifty treasure!  Especially the kind I can change the look of seasonally, that's even better!

Simple Summer Style Tablescape

I just adore styling a table...

I’m enjoying this simple Summer style on our dining room table with beautiful flowers and lots of lamb’s ear.  Even if we're not going to be dining at home today, seeing the table set is pleasing to me.

I like the appearance of an inviting table that looks on the ready.  Styling a table is something that I enjoy doing.  Making it beautiful makes me smile!

::: We enjoyed a great birthday celebration dinner out with family yesterday for our Son-in-law. We visited a new to us restaurant, “Henry’s Louisiana Grill” in Acworth GA, it was very delicious!

::: Today we’re staying in having a quiet restful day, and later we’ll enjoy some grilled goodies for our dinner.

~ I hope you’ve had a wonderful first weekend of August!

Welcome "August"

I’m loving that we’ve only recently just begun the second month of Summer!  And, I know, I know some see August as Fall, but here in the South...it’s too hot to think that it’s anything but Summer!
And I’m good with that!

It's nice of a morning when we can pop the back door open and have some fresh air pour into our breakfast and kitchen area, along with the sounds of nature!  The birds are always happily singing.  They seem to love summer as much as I do!

I did a little refresh to my chalkboard.  I added the greenery back at the beginning of Spring and had a little "Hello Spring" sign there, you may have seen and remember it?  I simply removed the other sign and added this cute "welcome" banner I found at the Target dollar area.  Who says you have to write on a chalkboard anyway?  I'm using it as a backdrop for now!

Whether it’s morning coffee or afternoon tea.  This is a nice spot to enjoy it!

~ My Summer lovin’ heart is happy that it’s SUMMER!!!

And I’m enjoying every minute of it!

Summer Tiered Tray Styling

“Home” it’s my favorite place to be!!

::: It is my happy place!
Creating and decorating our home is one of the things I truly enjoy doing for our home.

::: And, I always enjoy styling my tiered trays, they’re such a fun decor item.  I’m liking this summer vibe, and that it’s about “HOME!”
~ The mini houses were my inspiration for styling my tiered tray for Summer, and a "home" theme.  Most of the items here are from a Thrift store, the Dollar store and Target Dollar Spot, even the tiered tray and items which I already had.  I shopped my home and did this for no extra cost.  That's my kind of inexpensive decorating!

Our Welcome Space
~The Foyer

Home is where my heart is!

::: It’s my happy place where I feel most welcome. And, where we get to welcome others...

::: Our foyer is one of my favorite spaces in our home. Our “Welcome” space.

Currently, I’m enjoying this look for Summer.

~ I hope you’re having an awesome Summer day!...

Easy Wall Decor Idea

Yay for Saturday!  I think we need more Saturdays in the week!

::: I did a little decor refresh in our family room.  I changed up my wall sconces by adding some faux plants to these pretty gold-glass mosaic candle holders.  I'm loving the look for summer.  So easy and didn’t cost a thing!  I enjoy simply shopping our home to change my decor.  I say that often and always recommend doing that before making new purchases!

::: Speaking of love, this large wall plaque is a favorite of mine!  And, it works perfectly with the sconces.

I love this cozy space!

Thrifty Decor for Summer

These are a few of my favorite things...and colors!

::: I’ve styled this console table in our breakfast area with some thrifted treasures and some items from a few of my favorite stores.

Can you believe I found this beautiful green painted wood & iron piece at goodwill?  Yep, and for just a few dollars, that’s why I enjoy stopping in there sometimes.
You just never know what treasure awaits?

I love decor pieces that you can be creative with, and easily change the look of by adding different elements!

::: This rustic box with metal handles is just the thing to do that with!  I shopped my home and simply added three of my gold painted terra cotta pots, a candle holder lifts the center one, some greenery, curly burlap ribbon, faux grapes and flowers, and voila!

::: I have it sitting upon a thrifted bread box I chalk painted some time ago.  Along with the beautiful green wood and iron piece, which as I mentioned above was also thrifted.
I’m enjoying this look for Summer in front of our breakfast room window.

- Tip of the day -
Try shopping your home before buying new items, and be creative!  It doesn’t have to cost a lot to decorate your home in a beautiful way!

Happy Fourth of July Food & Fun!

Happy Fourth of July!

I've set a fun and festive table for today!  Just keeping it simple for hubby and I.  We’re starting off with my Red, White & Blue Salad!  Hubby has had Beef Ribs and Baked Beans slow smoking on our Big Green Egg all day!  The smell has been fantastic!

This salad is perfect for today’s holiday, or anytime!  A perfect summer salad!

~ Red, White & Blue Salad ~

Salad greens, fresh Strawberries and Blueberries, Feta Cheese, and Walnuts!  Serve with a salad dressing of your choice!  We like a lite Italian or Vinaigrette!

We’re going to enjoy this delicious holiday meal and then watch our neighbors put on his awesome annual fireworks display!

~ God Bless AMERICA!

Welcome SUMMER!

In welcoming summer I added this beautiful Butterfly wreath to my door.  I found this beauty and simply added a little embellishment!  Perfect for summer and as a sweet welcome on our front door!

We're expecting a beautiful first weekend of Summer!

Happy SUMMER!...

Simple Summer Tablescape

It’s a bright and sunny Saturday!
We’re having beautiful summer weather!

I just finished doing a little prep for our Saturday dinner.  I picked up some sale items at Hobby Lobby and couldn’t resist styling my table with them!  Even if it’s just for the two of us.

A couple of the succulents were used as cute napkin rings, and the green dish cloths work as napkins. I shopped my home for the other items to complete this simple look.

I used a couple of white cloth napkins under each place setting, used my everyday dishes, and my golden tableware from Target!  It doesn't have to be expensive to look nice!  I set a pretty table using what I had on hand and a few bargain priced items.  Easy low cost decorating at it best!

Setting a pretty table is one of my favorite things to do!  And, I believe it makes a meal taste even better!

~ Happy Saturday and Happy Weekend...
