A Day at the Bead Show

Intergalactic Bead and Jewelry Show
May 19, 2012

*This jewelry maker's adventure place*

I really do enjoy it when the Intergalactic Bead Show event comes around, and I try to attend each time!  I attended the annual  Bead Show on Saturday along with my daughter, and I did find a few new things to add to my bead stash.  I get so many ideas while there too, and always find something I want, or think I need!  I also especially like the shows because some items I just can't find at the local craft shops, and online orders usually have a shipping fee  This is a nice hands on, get a good look at it method of acquiring more jewelry supplies.  There is so much to see there and bling, bling everywhere!  Sparkly, shiny, and colorful beads of all types and sizes, metal findings, chain and wire, and tools too.  Handmade jewelry items for sale also.  It's my kind of place for sure!

I  must mention I got scolded by one of the fellas at a booth, as I tried to take a photo just after we walked in!  Well actually he said "No taking pictures allowed!", although I didn't see any signs saying that!*eye roll* My bad, gosh!*sigh* I had just taken this photo, and was about to take another in the other direction and then, well you know!  Gee I just wanted a memory of the event and to show the awesomeness of all those beads!  Oh well, I didn't let him it ruin my day! I did get a photo though! :o)

Beads, Beads and more Beads!

My Bead Show Buddy!

After enjoying our time at the Bead Show, she and I revisited Marlow's (a favorite place) for a late lunch and after that enjoyed some shopping time.  While shopping I was pleased to find a purple handbag, which I quickly bought, since I have been trying to find one in just the right shade, and this one was!

We were thinking that a movie and a late dinner would be a good idea, so we connected with Hubby and went to see the movie "Battleship", since we all agreed on that one.  We all enjoyed the movie and were happy with the choice we had made!  Off we went after the movie for dinner, for some good mexican food.  A nice ending to a fun day!

Keep Smiling!
