* Daughter's 30th Birthday *

~ Happy 30th Birthday ~

You'll always be my little girl!

April, 1985

My first child, a baby girl that I had wished for, opening my eyes and heart to the true meaning of bonding. A bond between a parent and child is one of the most special of all human connections and that is what you are, very special and one of my most precious gifts in this life.
I remember being a little frightened at first when I learned that I was going to be a mother, wondering if I could do the job well, and be a good parent. Love takes over when you look into the eyes of your child for the first time, and that led me and my heart to be the best I could be and give all that I had.
It seems like just yesterday you were that little girl who didn't want to let go of my hand and walk on your own, or the headstrong teenager that was sure we were all too often ruining your life by saying "No", and then later anxiously wanting to spread your wings and fly by living on your own and proving you were ready and could do it, even if it meant ramen was your affordable cuisine, and there were the times of our occasional ribbing you with your 'princess' title that you truly lived up to as one of the most beautiful brides I've ever seen on your wedding day.
The time has past so quickly, we've shared laughter, tears, and many memorable moments over the past 30 years, and I look forward to many, many more. You are a beautiful and intelligent woman, an amazing and gifted person and a wonderful daughter, and I am so very proud of you and all that you have achieved in your young life to date, and most especially the gifts of two of your own children that share a part of both of us.
You are more than my daughter, you're also one of my dearest and closest friends. May you always know how very much you are loved and admired, and that you will always have my friendship. I wish for you much happiness and that all of your dreams come true, today and for all of your tomorrows.
I love you
~Mom~
