Color of the Year - Marsala

Marsala - Pantone Color of the Year

"Much like the fortified wine that gives Marsala its name, this tasteful hue embodies the satisfying richness of a fulfilling meal, while its grounding red-brown roots emanate a sophisticated, natural earthiness. This hearty, yet stylish tone is universally appealing and translates easily to fashion, beauty, industrial design, home furnishings and interiors."

When thinking about color, Pantone is thee resource to use for choosing or deciding on colors, and many of those which will be noticeable when shopping, whether it is fashion or home furnishings.  These are the colors the designers use each season, so you probably have already noticed them out in the fashion world with clothing and accessories, and also with home furnishings and decorating accessories.

Taking a cue from nature, this year's colors are cooler, softer choices with subtle warm tones following a minimalistic theme.

Spring 2015 Pantone Fashion Color Report, gives an introduction to this season's colors, color pairing suggestions, and more.

A few of my favorites from this 2015 Spring Season:
Toasted Almond - A perfect color choice for me with my love for neutrals.
Lavender Herb - A beautiful color!  Lavender, from the purple family, is one of my all time favorite colors.
Marsala - I like the color Marsala and I think it works well for fashion, as well as furniture.  I can see this color being very popular!

It's a colorful world!...
